Peter Dale is a beautiful relatively secluded dale situated to the north of Chee Dale and Monk\'s Dale. It is mostly popular as a walking venue but is lined by a few limestone outcrops. Only one of these had much to offer. It was first developed in the 1980s with some trad routes and then again in 1993 with a set of early sport routes. In 2022 the crag was \'re-discovered\' and given a full overhaul to give a surprising set of routes including a number of new lines. The climbing is fairly intense for such a short crag packing the moves in straight off the deck on many of the routes. It is fingery, technical and deceptively steep. The location is delightful though.
