Thaurac is an extensive area with many different crags and buttresses - this guidebook covers less than half of what it has to offer. The area has a good range of single- and multi-pitch routes with short approaches. There are plenty of short, low-grade routes for novices, and if you're looking for adventure, a day on La Grande Face should leave you satisfied. Crags mostly face south or west, so expect to get plenty of sun here. The exception is Arrache-cœur which gets afternoon shade.
