Beerhouse Buttress

This is small wall gives some short sport routes in a pleasant location but unfortunately access and parking are extremely tricky and it has never proved popular. It is a natural buttress with compact rock giving routes of a fingery and sustained nature, with lots of small holds which are often hard to locate when unchalked. The climbing is quite deceptive since you expect short quick ticks but actually get some intense and technical problems. The pub after which it took its name has been closed down for years. The wall faces south, suffers little from seepage, is well-sheltered and dries quickly after rain.
