This vast and intimidating crag has several major routes that are as good as anything else of their grade in the whole of North Wales. The altitude, north-facing aspect and long walk-in have meant that the routes see fewer ascents than they deserve and the crag is not often in condition. However, in stable summer high pressure weather (when other crags like Cloggy are also 'in') a visit to Llech Ddu will be amply rewarded.
